I was on Femara for 3.5 months and my manly self was going strong. Then she changed me to Tamoxifen and it all minimized. Now, the only real side effect is the weight gain. I gained 10 pounds when I was on chemo and added 50 more when I got on Femara & Tamoxifen. No matter what I do it just keeps coming. I'm up to 190 and just sick about it. I started getting facial hair, you know, those pesky little black hairs that started popping up around my chin when I entered my 40's. Funny thing is that those hairs continued to grow, even when the rest of my hair was falling out every where during Chemo. I am taking Fermera and have yet to experience the bone pain that others write about. I am hoping that diet, exercise and vitamins will help me while I am on this medicine.
