Hey Dari,

CONGRATS on the final adoption!!!!!!!

I just got done reading your last post about the hubbie. Yes, I did

ask and all I can say is: WOW! I am glad that he rose to the occasion

and has come around to understand what all spouses eventually come to

comprehend: Neither the cancer nor the chemo are a piece of cake and

just because you finished treatment, does NOT mean you can

immediately resume where you left off before you were diagnosed. I

think men are in a world of their own to begin with and when handed a

situation they can not fix right away, they are stumped. In my case I

noticed that my hubbie could not " see " the devastation cancer was/is

causing, so he figured: what the heck, she is up and about even hours

after treatment, so why not carry on as usual???? The hardest for him

was to comprehend that this will go on the rest of my life. It's not

like we will never again worry or think about cancer just because we

are done with chemo and rads. Hello???? I think all of us will

FOREVER be looking over our shoulder, waiting for the other shoe to

drop and praying that it will never happen....

Already, I need to run for now. Just wanted to let you know I read

your last post. What is the weather like on the KCM side??? I am

looking at snow and ice over here outside KCK (about 2 hours west)

and they are warning about more....

Take care and hugs those babies!!!!

Later,

Caren in Kansas
