I'm back...taking a chemobrain break. Geeeeez! I gotta get it together!

You asked about my Husband. He got the ride of his life throughout this BC

journey.

If you remember we had a 1 & 2 yo at home (as well as teenagers)

but he had to go into fulltime MOTHERHOOD over night.

In the beginning., I was not even supposed to pick them up. (I ripped my

stitches open in 2 places picking them up)

But, he never understood that he wasn't doing all that much before BC. He'd

change a diaper occasionally & play with them when convenient. But, after I

went down he had to take over and it wore him slick.

I had to bite my tongue off many hundreds of times LOL because he was so

unorganized and missed doctor appts (1 child is special needs & she has a

bazillion dr. appts)

But, all in all, he stepped up. We had a few blow-ups due to me being so

sick. I couldn't take the WHINING. He would let them whine & whine & whine!

Just because he didn't feel like dealing with something at the time.

AAARRRGH!

I just wanted to get up and do things myself. But, I was too ill. I ended

up spending about a month (in & out) in the hospital during chemo. Damn, it

was ugly!

We kind of had a major blow up when my chemo ended... I mean 2 weeks after my

last chemo he handed me back the reins (without telling me) He just kinda

quit doing anything. I was still throwing up every day (due to no stomach

lining) and my esaphagus was burned so bad I could barely get the food down in

order to throw it up. :-) Plus, I was on Femara which made me walk like a 90yo

and

I could barely get out of a chair. (seriously Thank God they switched me off

of that!)

About a week after I realized what was happening sh*t hit the fan and he came

back to his senses! :-)

My throwing up problem lasted for several months until my esaphagus healed &

I'm taking meds for the stomach lining. It prevents the stomach from

immediately rejecting the food.

Anyway, this past December life started feeling like I was on the upswing.

Only in the past week do I really feel like I'm headed in the right direction.

I mean for real, like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I still find it ironic how the Onc said " since you are so healthy you need to

do dose-dense " and then they about killed me with it.

Oh and we went to adoption court yesterday and the babies are officially ours

now.

hugs m'dear!

What kind I say? I have nothing to deal with like what you have.

What an incredibly strong woman you are!

Is there any way that you can contact someone for respite care to

help you or enlist the help of your teenagers?

I hope your hubby gets his priorities straightened out.

I guess hubbies must think that this stuff is temporary like some

other surgeries. WRONG!

I cannot be there to help (not sure I would be much use) but I can

ask God to give you extra strength and your husband a swift kick in

the pants.
