Guest guest
been reading the post! FOr the one who said her oncon does not believe in chemo brain!!!!! I would find a new Doc!!! It does exist!!! I have been done with treatments since DEC 4th but I am still having problems with chemo brain, It was getting better but when I started Aromasin it started getting worse again!! I had other troubles with the Aromasin so I stopped taking it. I have appt. the 23 with my oncon and we will discuss another inhibitor I guess. I really don't want to take any of them and he is really going to have to give me a very conviencing reason why I should other than 20% of helping!!! my Diagnosis was invasie lobular carcinoma and trace of cancer cell in one node!! So I am unclear about my chances of reacurrance! Anyway hope all of you are having a good day and will have a great weekend pain free!!!!! Guest guest
Hi Steph, Yeah you're right about chemo brain. 3 years have lapsed and it still takes me quite a while to remember things at times. However there is comparative improvement. Hope it continues to improve over the years. One thing for sure is the importance of adjuvant treatment. I've not missed a single dose of Arimidex these past 3 years and my bone scan and mammogram taken last week showed no malignancy in spite of pretty severe musculoskeletal aches, fatigue, and calcification on the remaining right breast. I had masectomy, chemo and radiation followed by Arimidex which I've 2 more years to take. I had 17 cancerous lymph nodes removed. The tumour was 27mm in size. So hope you'll not give up on the doctor's recommendation. Take the bull by its horn!! Blessings of Peace and All Good, Aurelia. Good morning gals been reading the post!
