Guest guest
for those of you whe are interested, there's an interesting essay in this month's Harper's... " Pathologies of Hope " by Barbara Ehrenreich this is how she starts: " I hate hope. It was hammered into me constantly a few years ago when I was being treated for breast cancer: think positively! Don't lose hope! Wear your pink ribbon with pride!... " anway, *I* certainly appreciated reading her point of view...it's how I often feel...not that I have any " hopelessness " ... for me, it just all feels so artificial and superficial--and somehow...unreal... anyway, thought I'd point out the article to you all... marisa
