Sorry to confuse you.

I meant to say I had DCIS & IDC (2 tumors=1.05cm).

Extensive DCIS meant I had multiple sites, and because I am small

breasted, removing the tumor & DCIS wouldn't have left me with much :-)

I think in the US the surgeon will try breast-conservation, unless other

factors (genetic history, or in my case removing alot) warrant

otherwise. I did have the lumpectomy first, before they realized a

mastectomy would be best.
