Updates from my doctor yesterday! :P

Morning guys!

Yesterday, my mom took me to see my doctor for my usual check up. I still

weighs the same as usual, 85-pounder, lol! He said i'm 5.4 not 5.5, oopsy! I

guess it's cuz I'm so skinny, that it's even hard for me to tell the difference

at my true height ya know.

He said for me to continue taking testaterone shots, but dosen't want me to

go back to androderm patch, cuz it gave me wierd side effects in the past (those

of don't rememebered what happened, I got very moody and grouchy, and

emotionally too!)

Then, my mom started talking about me seeing a therapist, about my old jobs,

going to school in the past, going to L.A. Goodwill searching for jobs, right?

Well, he said that I need an congentive therapist. I told him about Santa

, where they have d/hoh therapist and clients, but he said no cuz it's too

far, sigh/dang it man! My mom remembered in the past, when I used to go to

schools (college, dog grooming, a bit of pcc, and this computer class), that I

never had any problems being kept busy. So, she told my doctor that both library

and animal shelter volunteering aren't enough for me, and L.A. Goodwill isn't

helping me much, so the doctor knows the problem, finally man! He said that, I

don't need to see a therapist, I just need to get a good active job and/or, go

back to school to keep me busy! Duh man, lol!

But, he did wanted me to ask the CHARGE Group here, if anyone here could

help me out to find a better job, need some guidence in my life, right? Please

lemme know if you guys can help me out, alright? I would really need some

personal/social guidence, it's hard for me to do everything myself. Thanks, take

This is what i wrote to chip but chip said i can share this with the list...

Hey people, I am not sure about california's policies for animal training,

and alowing special needs individuals to help train animals to work with the

dissabled or as therepy animals. I think with Chip's experience with

animals, he needs someone in his area to advocate for him to be allowed to

do this service. From what I have come to know about Chip, he has a special

gift with animals and would be an excellent canidate for assisting in the

training of therapy pets. I would consider speaking to case manager, but

distance poses some diffriculty. I do feel though that he would benifite

from someone who lives near him, as they would be able to go speak to

various groups with him. My personal consern is that if Chip goes alone to

some of these places, they may only see his physical features and make

negative assumptions of his abilities. However if someone were to go with

him, that person could help the potential employers see past his appearence

and would be more likely to be open to learn about all the abilities that

Chip posesses with animal care,

I think it would be good if someone could help update his resume to make it

professional looking and then even go with him to the job interview to act

as an intervenor/intermediator. He needs someone who works with deafblind to

facilitate. I think he also needs reference letters based on his experties

and schooling but it would be a lot better coming from people more local to

him!

If he needs more training fine, but I feel it would be a great loss if he

was not working with animals. I think Therapy work would be good.

I do think there are a few skills issues that are needed, but I think a

therapist who knows nothing about CHARGE is going to be useless. What he

needs is someone who is familiar with charge and deafblindness to maby meet

up with him for working on interpersonal skills, learning about money and

helping him learn skills so he can be independant in workplace settings.
