Ideas for Conference Costs

Hello everyone!

I'm sure most people already know this, but just in case...I wanted to offer a

few suggestions about funding resources for convention costs.

At first I wasn't going to apply for any help, but then I realized the costs

were really going to add up and some assistance would be great! So I wanted to

encourage others to try the same.

I first talked with Maxwell's family resource coordinator through the Birth to

Three program and explained about the convention. We discussed various groups

and funding resources that would possibly be available to provide financial

assistance. I have contacted both of them with packets of information (on the

convention, CHARGE, Max's history, etc.) and one is almost definitely going to

provide some $$$. (Yay!) We have also applied for assistance through the

" Payee of Last Resort " , a program through the Division of Developmental

Disabilities (DDD), and our FRC thinks we will get some help through them too.

Just some ideas to consider if you are worried about financial costs...never

hurts to try!
