Guest guest
Dear , Thanks very much for your reply. Yes, there are flu shots that contain mercury preservative, thimerosol. There are also some mercury-free versions. All vaccinations could have ingredients that a person would want to be informed about in order to make healthful decisions. Children taking steroids may be advised not to take vaccinations due to precautionary concerns which are listed on vaccine inserts. Your analogy to having medically fragile children is right on in many regards. People may not have experience with children with these kinds of issues and may therefore shy away. They may feel some bit of fear or uncomfortableness. What concerns me here, though, is the seeming scorn for discussing the topic of autism. It is a stark reality for many on the list. There are very many encouraging developments happening all the time. It would be devastating to think that people might miss opportunities to heal. Just today I learned of a movement underway in Portland, Oregon which will include a variety of physicians and health providers working together in clinics to help those with autism and to spread the word that autism is treatable. Among one of the approaches will be one I have mentioned here before of treating severe intestinal problems that may be related to certain vaccines. One of the doctors is a doctor at Harvard. For many years, the Autism Research Institute has spearheaded the concept of defeating autism. I have attended several Defeat Autism Now! conferences in California and in Oregon, and find the information encouraging. Not that I agree with every proposed protocol. Not at all. But I fully believe that autism IS treatable and that every day new findings are leading the way. Defeat Autism Now! conferences also happen on the east coast and in other countries. The force behind the movement is Dr. Bernard Rimland, the father of a son who is now an adult. Dr. Rimland refused to accept the concept that was popular when his son was born decades ago that autism was a result of 'refrigerator' mothers. He pioneered research and protocols that have led to tremendous success in treating autism. And it is a tribute to him that the concept of refrigerator mothers is nearly extinct now. To learn more about recovery from autism, look at the following site: http://www.autismwebsite.com/ari/index.htm There are alot of recent discoveries and treatments found among the various sections on the website. Under publications, one can find the dvd of recovered children. Highlighted is footage from two conferences I have attended that had presentations by parents of children who had once had labels of autism but who healed due to treatments aimed at the physical, behavioral and biochemical factors causing the autism. The children who once carried the label of autism no longer do carry it. My boss has a child who has had this experience. Identified before age 2, treated with intensive ABA and Verbal Behavior therapy plus biochemical interventions, he lost his label of autism, and it was removed from his official educational file, as he entered kindergarten. As always, I appreciate your wise comments and sharp perception of very intricate discussions. , I very truly appreciate your kind words of support. :-) Re: Autism spectrum disorders > Dear , > We know knowledge is power.
