Guest guest
Today JD and Olivia are celebrating their first birthday. This morning I had the opportunity to kiss JD while he was sleeping and saw him smiling. Olivia was wide awake and smiling as well. Olivia, when she was born at 3 lbs 7 oz. , she had no vital signs and needed to be on a ventilator for 24 hours. She came home after one month and has been doing very well. Now she is crawling, trying to stand by herself, talking and laughing. Today she is off her formula and off her bottles. She really doesn't like sharing her toys with her brother. She smiles every time she sees him. JD born with so many conditions and weighing 2 lbs. 12 oz. I will never forget we when had to send him from Presby. to children's and getting Olivia out and letting their fingers touch each other for the first time. and I were so scared of what was going on with JD. JD is a champion and he had proving to everyone that he can handle what ever comes to him. JD was finally able to come home on June 14 and has shown us that he is a true champion. Next week he will be going back to Children's for an APR test for his hearing. He also other appointments to the Vent Clinic, Heart Doctor and the Development Pediatric's. Now he is starting to sit up, he has one tooth, smiling, laughing, and going on 10 hours off the ventilator. Thank you everyone for all your prayers & , parents to Olivia and JD(CHARGE: Choanal Atresia, Heart Repair, TE-F Repair, G-Tube, Trach , Hernia Repair and A Happy Little Man )1 year old www.chargesyndrome.org Below are some pictures from the birthday party Bowdoin Special Education Poteet High School ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL. Guest guest
Happy Birthday to the babies! I can't believe they are a year old already!! What a year it has been. I remember all the tears and mixed emotions at Aubrie's first birthday. It was a celebration of all of us making it through as much as a celebration of her survival and achievements. And a time to reflect on all the challenges we'd faced getting there. Wow. Your heart must be overflowing with emotions. I know you'll continue to find joys with each of your children as they grow and as you watch them grow together as brother and sister. It's going to be an amazing journey as their special bond unfolds and deepens over time. Best to you all- Michele W Aubrie's mom
