Job Posting: Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Danbury EMS is a rural 911-service provider for the City of Danbury, the City of Liverpool, Demi- Island, and the Village of Amsterdam. Our service area is approximately 326 sq. miles. We currently respond to roughly 680 calls annually. The Danbury Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service formed in February of 1944. All positions are part-time and without benefits. Requirements for EMT-Basic: 1. Texas Department of State Health Services Certification in good standing. 2. Minimum 1-year 911 experience. 3. Basic Trauma Life Support or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support. 4. Good driving record with a valid Texas driver's license. 5. Good computer skills. 6. Applicants must pass medical guideline test, drug screen, and a physical. Responsibilities include: ---Must provide exceptional medical care to the sick and injured. ---Must maintain units and equipment. ---Electronically document patient encounters, interventions, and treatments. ---Any other job duties as assigned by the Director.
