Guest guest
is on Resperdal and I give it to her 1 time a day - in the morning. She is now waking almost every morning at 4:30am and is rearing to go! Has anyone experienced this? I'm not sure (and haven't researched yet) how long the drug is effective (4 hrs, 12 hrs, etc.) and I may need to break up the dosages to give it more frequently. I'd love to hear your experiences! Guest guest
We had that when started the Risperdal...early wake up times. We still get it from time to time, for example up since 5 am today. is almost 10 and receives .25mg (pill) 3x a day. At first he got a smaller dosage only in the morning. We had to break it up because we did not see the effects lasting throughout the day. His sleeping was off and his behaviors were still inconsistent with the medication time. For us, spreading it out throughout the day has helped. It is not a miracle that is for sure, but for his mood swings and self injuries behaviors it has made a big difference. He is also on Klonopin which was started a few months later and that HELPED alot with the sleeping issues too. I think a lot of this is still trial and error and from experience with two CHARGERS, both on medication although different ones, it takes time to regulate and the sleep is not always the best when these medicines are used. Good luck, Murray mom to twin Chargers and (almost 10-YIKES!!) and wife to Jay Resperdal dosing is on Resperdal and I give it to her 1 time a day - in the morning.
