Guest guest
n and I recently got a note from Larry with the Missouri DeafBlind Project letting us know that the MO DB Project has funds set aside to help families go to conferences (help with registration and airfare!). If you are from Missouri and want to know more, contact me (meg@...) or n (marion@...). If you are in another US state, contact your state DeafBlind Project and ask if they might be able provide assistance for you to come to the CHARGE conference. To find the DB Project in your state, search for " DB link " on Google or some other search engine. When you get to that page, look under the " People and Programs " link along the top bar. Or try copying and pasting the link: http://www.tr.wou.edu/dblink/people/pp.htm I'm looking forward to seeing lots of you in California! Guest guest
Hi Ellen, I think that Martha is lurking and I just wanted to make sure she saw this email from Meg. My guess is that she had probably already had this information, but was " nudging " her again!! thanks for taking care of her!! pam Help with conference costs > > n and I recently got a note from Larry with the Missouri > DeafBlind Project letting us know that the MO DB Project has funds set > aside to help families go to conferences (help with registration and > airfare!). Guest guest
Pam, Thanks for the much needed nudge. I'll try my best to email Meg and Larry tomorrow. So much has happened here - our @13 days without power because of an unbelievable ice storm, emergency trip to a dog " internest " in Kansas City, over $2000 in tree work, phones which apparently had power surges, a cousin contemplating suicide, and a general malaise that lingers even now. I want very much for Andy to be able to join me at this conference --- he's provided childcare at the national db conferences but has never really gotten to take part. We won't know if his summer classes will " make " for awhile, so I just haven't done a thing. Now, you've given me another nudge; please keep it up. I'm moving in slow, slow motion right now.
