Guest guest Posted February 21, 2007 Report Share Posted February 21, 2007 caitlyn s grinding her teeth all the time it realy goes through us all we stick her dummy in but she spits it out and prefurs to grind her teeth i have heard a lot of this on this sight gues it is just a charge thing eh does it stop with age please tell me it does . anyway does any one have any good idears about fiting some kind of poll to caitlyns baby walker so she can move around while been fed as she is a little tinker rolls around and pulls the machine over and pulls on the tube we do try and learn her not to play with the tube but well she is only young. when yor kids are been fed for a couple of hours how do you all cope you cant tie them up and keep them still its ok when kellie is here with us one of us can allways keep an eye on her or read her storys and play with her but when kellie is on her own she it must be hard for her any idears rita kellie and tinkerbell caitlyn xx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest guest Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 Amelie grinds her teeth...terrible and same here we all cringe...especially as i am ex-dental nurse, I used to panic and think she will have no emamel and dentine left if she carries on, nothing we have done will stop her. It resurfaces every now and then but is short lived. However, before she gave it up, her little teeth had been worn down to little stubbs. Thank goodness they are milk teeth. Hopefully she won't go back to full scale grinding again. The OT had actually given her a tube to chew on but she did not take too well to it until she had given up the grinding! Now she seems to need a great deal of stimulation and seems to chew anything and everything but at least still no more grinding. It drove us mad but the funniest was watching people in lifts while she ground her teeth. Of course, being terribly British no-one commented but their faces were contorted in pain and disbelief! Very funny!!!!
