Oh, Laurie! that used to be my favorite thing too. I used to eat it all the

time but now I am not allowed any really good bread as I have to eat that

celiac stuff (yeccch, its only good the first day then goes bad fast).

Did he get allergic to bees? They tell me one sting could kill me. I

used to carry an epi-pen. I cannot eat local honey but honey from anywhere else

is fine. Local honey makes me throw up as the pollens in it are the ones I

am reacting to with asthma.

Sheesh! its a tough life. Thanks for reminding me of the wonderful treat

....at least I can enjoy the memory! Alice

I like honey too, especially on good bread with real butter! And raw honey

is the best. My sister and bil used to keep bees, then he went and built up

a toxicity to them.

Alice,

Yes, he became allergic. And after 2 episodes of him going into enanplatic

(sp) shock from a bee sting,, my sister put her foot down. He was not

always allergic to them, but he built up an allergy/toxicity to them where

one sting sends him show sandy.
