We're Back!! Florida was awesome... we left the morning of the 1st, and we

braved the elements of the tropical storm going down. We stopped and spent

the night in Fayettevillse North Carolina, where Grandma Ida's Niece Jeannie

met up with us... so early the next morning we all pilled back into the van

for " Sunny " Florida! On the way there we hit alot of storms and tons of

rain! Thank God that we got there safely, we did see ALOT of accidents

though - which at times slowed down the traffic, so we didn't make any

record times for traveling but we did great giving the storms and such. For

the first couple nights Kaleb woke up @ 4a.m. which wasn't too great for me-

but he got in the swing of things... His Uncle Ron (Ida's Son) met us at the

resort! It was great to see & visit w/Uncle Ron :) We stayed at the Kingston

Reef Crown Plaza on International Drive in Orlando. It looked beautiful

when we pulled in, and the rooms were awesome. The set up was perfect!

Kaleb and I got the king size bed since we had to bunk together, Uncle Ron

was able to stay in the pull-out couch and Grandma Ida and Jeannie stayed in

the suite next to ours... from our balconies we had perfect views of the

pools; there were two main pools, a kids pool and two sauna's. The first

night Kaleb and I hung back while everyone else went out to find someplace

to eat - which was fine because Kaleb had fallen asleep... The next day we

enjoyed visiting w/Uncle Ron and for dinner we ate at the House of Blues in

Downtown Disney's West Side. Kaleb was really liking the place, but was

short lived; he dosen't like when we are eating and he's not being

entertained! So Grandma held him for awhile, and then I held him until it

was time to go... when we left is was raining, Kaleb didn't mind the rain at

first but he became irritated when we started walking about - we were hoping

that the rain would pass - being Florida - but it seemed it was staying for

awhile so we packed up and headed back. We also ate at the Wolfgang Puck

resturant there - the food was amazing! Again, Kaleb didn't care for the

resturant but loved walking around and looking at all of the awesome things

Disney has to offer. We also went to The Lodge in the Animal Kingdom where

we enjoyed African quisine at the Boma buffet... there was an amazing

Watermelon Rind Salad!! They also had a little place where you could walk

around to look at the animals and things... We really enjoyed that as well.

Kaleb had such a wonderful time - but by far the best experience for Kaleb

was Magic Kingdom!! From the time we unloaded him from the van he just lit'

up... it was drizzling when we first got there, so a couple rain drops on

Kaleb's face brought out the initial smiles - he thought it was funny.

Props go to Grandma Ida because I had forgotten his suction machine in the

van, and Grandma trecked all the way back to the van to get her buddy's

machine!!

While Granmda was doing that Jeannie, Kaleb and I looked in the Emporium and

walked Main Street Disney, and we sat down to map our our day. Once Grandma

returned we headed for Toon Town where we of course took tons of pictures...

Kaleb's first group of characters he met were Daisy, Goofy & Pluto. Since

Kaleb was in a wheel chair we went straight in front of lines - which I

can't express this enough was wonderful & just made the experiences so much

better for Kaleb... because if he had to wait in those long lines there was

no way he'd be happy by the time we got to the characters... anywhoie' He

liked Daisy and she gave alot of Kisses, then he went to Goofy who was

wonderful. He approached Kaleb slowly, reached under his hand how your

suppose to and gave him lots of kisses on top of the head... Kaleb was

really enjoying himself until we had to move on to Pluto - Kaleb got upset,

I think because he had to leave Goofy who he really liked & once Kaleb got

over himself he decided he might like Pluto too!... we stood in line to get

the professional pictures which turned out awesome! And then we looked at

Minnie & Mickey's houses and got to see the big guy himself - which by this

time Kaleb was done w/the Characters - so he didn't enjoy Mickey as much

(But I enjoyed it!!! hehehe)... from Toon Town we headed over to Fantasyland

where we saw the new Mickey's PhilharMagic which was awesome!! I loved it...

we weren't sure if Kaleb was going to like it but he enjoyed it! From the

show we headed towards " It's a Small World " which he absolutely LOVED!! He

enjoyed looking around at all the different things and listening to the song

too!! It use to be one of his favorite songs :) After " It's a Small World "

we trecked over to Adventureland for " Pirates of the Carribean " ; I was

really excited to see the renovated ride, they've added Jack Sparrow from

the movies... It was awesome. They didn't have a handicapped boat like

" It's a Small World " , so I held Kaleb. And the attendent said that there

was a dip... which I semi-remembered... however I didn't remember it like

that! Plus I was holding Kaleb and we were in the front!! So when we went

down the " dip " (which I think my stomach and heart are still back

there...lol) I held on to Kaleb very tightly!! and we all got drenched!!

Kaleb LOVED it though!!! Which was just awesome to experience! Kaleb enjoyed

looking around @ that ride as well... from there we headed towards the

parade route which we ended up in Frontier Land near the Contry Bear

Jamboree - we were able to get right up next to the ropes and Kaleb even got

some great Mickey Stickers... the parade was awesome - which by this time

Kaleb as getting sleepy - but he enjoyed watching all the kewl floats and

lights... then we headed towards the Cinderella's Castle for the " Wishes "

fireworks, which were awesome as well... I don't think Kaleb appreciated the

loud noise of the fireworks but he still managed to fall asleep during them!

He had an amazing day at Magic Kingdom... after the fireworks it WAS NOT

fun walking out w/the crowds... but we made it... and at one point Kaleb

woke up when we were walking through Main Street & it was all lit'up and he

just kept smiling - it was wonderful!! I kept telling Kaleb that one of

Disney's slogans is that " It's the happiest place on earth " and I really

believe Kaleb just had the time of his life there... it brought tears to our

eyes... and now I want to take him back whenever I get the chance I want to

go @ least once a year!! Plus one of my good friends Leah & her husband Matt

moved down to Orlando, so we were able to meet up w/them... it was a sad

good-bye for me... but we'll definately be back!! (Leah, Matt and I all went

on the Disney Cruise together w/other friends too... so we have alot of

memories there!) I absolutely LOVE Disney & Leah is one of my friends that

shares my love for Disney - so I got excited that we were able to be

together there... plus now my son shares my same joys @ Disney :) so that's

just awesome!! I know wished he could have been there w/us! So

hopefully next time he'll be able to join us... I posted some pic's on-line

- they might not be in order but they're there for your viewing pleasure...

:) We're so thankful that the Lord blessed our trip, we had safe passage

going down and coming back up... There were no complications w/Kaleb Praise

God!!! And I believe Kaleb's ready to go back... however he starts school

Wednesday... Thank you for all your prayers - we wouldn't be where we are

today w/out them!! And lets keep them coming!! Kaleb's progress is God

based!! We can not do anything w/out the Lord & we are the only ones that

limit Him... my trust is in the Lord :) We're so thankful for all of our

blessings and we pray for a great future for Kaleb :) Check out the photos
