Guest guest
Life Flight replacing and adding choppers to its fleet (3/21/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) - Life Flight is raising $40 million in an effort to replace four helicopters and add two more to its fleet. One of the new choppers would be just for children. The new helicopters will also be wider with enough room for two patients. They will also be faster and more fuel efficient. " More fuel efficient means we have to stop and refuel less often, " said Life Flight senior pilot Bobby Wisdom. " That way, we'll be available more of the time. " " Thirty-three percent faster response time means more lives will be saved, " said Memorial Hermann CEO Dan Wolterman. Over half of the $40 million needed for the expansion has been raised. The new helicopters will be bought once all the money has been donated. (Copyright © 2007, KTRK-TV) Louis N.
