Left sided lower back pain

Hello all. I'm home from visiting my daughter in Palm Beach. Had a

wonderful time, but while there developed a horrible left sided lower

back pain. It seems worse at night when I go to bed. There are

actually times when I go to turn over in bed and it wakes me from a

deep sleep due to its intensity. Once I get up, however, and get to

moving about it eases up and goes away. I don't know if I pulled a

muscle or what when lifting my luggage. Also, I am 53 years old so I'm

thinking is might be an arthritic type pain, but then there's always

that nagging thought in the back of my head that it's possibly bony

metastasis. I guess if I'm no better by Tuesday I will be in touch

with one of my doctors.

I was just wondering if any of you had anything like this. If so,

please let me hear from you.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New

Year. God Bless you all.

Diane,

Sounds like you very well could have pulled a muscle but its best to get it

checked out. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Diane,

Yes, you are describing exactly what I have been struggling with for over a

year now. Are you on Arimidex, or one of the other AI's? If so, call your

onc and get in to see her/him. I ultimately switched to Faslodex injections

once a month and although there was some improvement, I continue to struggle

with severe sciatic type pain. We've checked for the potential mets, thank

G-D I'm clear. I am now working with a rheumatologist and getting twice

weekly physical therapy.

Contact your Onc. Good luck.
