Guest guest
I read the posts daily & I can't help but wonder what types of foods is everyone eating? I have beeen doing some reading & research & am fully convinced we all should be eating only organic foods, unproccessed & Raw !! I just read a piece about milk. They were explaining how 90 % of the good stuff is pasturized out of it. Also how much better goats milk is for us as opposed to cows, they made this point, when a baby cow is born it is already over 90 pounds, & it doesn't need alot of stuff to grow. When a baby goat is born it is only 8 to 10 pounds just like humans, they said in the lab goats milk far exceeds cows milk in nutrition & has smaller molecules so it is easier to digest. I have never tried goats milk, but I am going to find some now next time I go shopping. If you think about all the diets out there & really anyalize them, they say eat veggies, fruits, fish, & a little meat. NONE of them say here have some candy, pasta, bread, potato chips, donuts, or things you just pop in the microwave or open a package & dump it together. We all need to send emails to our food companies & let them know we are tired of all the chemicals they are putting in our foods !!!! Some of the chemicals are what gave alot of people thyroid problems to begin with, Floride is a big one that messes with us. If you can drink reverse osmosis water or distilled. I for one am tired of being sick & aching & hurting. My eyes don't work as well as they used too, I'm tired all the time, & like everyone else can't seem to lose any wieght. I am going to try to find organicly grown foods & see if life will be better, after all If I can eliminate the pills & eat organic it will end up costing the same & I should feel better. Just an idea I thought I would throw out there. Cindy Sue

JMO..but although most organics will save you the chemical , it does not mean it does not contain chemicals.. For me organic food is a no go...I am allergic to nickel and both soy and seafood and grains plus more are high in nickel.. Now soy is used as a preservative in everything..Carragean used to be made of seafood and now is made from soy, so it is actually considered organic and you will find it in the organic food packages etc.. What you need to do is eat balanced, and eat with out skipping meals whether the source be organic or not.. Kats3boys
Guest guest
I eat organic/natural and kosher/hallal foods whenever possible because I find these to have the least amount of additives. My body loves me for it to. Only when I start eating 'normal people' foods (junky ones), do I start feeling bad again. I eat a lot of rice. Rice cooked in organic chicken broth instead of water is my favorite meal. I eat chicken, turkey and beef (all organic/natural) as I've found that they are more expensive but are superb in quality and well worth it. If I eat lunch meat or anything 'processed', I try to use what has the least amount of ingredients. If you come in my house and look in the cupboards, you will find that hardly any have an ingredient list past 5 or 10 ingredients. I like it that way, less power to use for thinking and more for doing LOL. You know how valuable that is . Goat's milk can make incredible icecream although unless you have high quality goats (fed really really well) their milk alone tastes very barn yard like... it's the only description I can think of. Goat cheeses have a bit of this taste but certain goats taste differently so feel free to experiment. Oh, and drink it really really cold!! Goat milk has to be cold.. otherwise it just tastes crappy. You can also try organic foods. A lot of people suspect that they have food allergies only to find out it's not the food itself, it's the additives. So on organic/natural diets they fare much better. Of course, if you're like me and allergic to everything LOL, not having additives is just one more thing you don't have to worry about . good luck, andrea all our aches & pains I read the posts daily & I can't help but wonder what types of foods is everyone eating? I have 2 boxes of crackers, 1 box of cereal and some cheese whiz that fit on my diet..everything else is scratch food. They even use soy to IQF chicken and meats that would otherwise be fine.. My list is a lot larger than just soy though but yeah soy is in everything..and so many people keep telling me oh it is a natural product or organic product and I look at the ingredients and it is soy among other things.. I have not had an allergic reaction in almost 4 weeks though so something is working.. I read your posts on rice though..and guess what..rice is high in nickel..I use to eat a lot of rice but now I am only allowed white rice in very limited quanities.. Guest guest
Kats3boys, I was unaware of the soy problem in organic foods. Here again, I don't plan to be eating boxed & prepackaged stuff. I was thinking more along the lines of fruits, veggies, nuts, & meats, don't think they can put soy in them? I am not much into the grains but they say if the grains are sprouted they have all sorts of nutrition in them. As for the goats milk, that is up in the air. I will try it & it will be COLD !!! I LOVE cream in my tea !! Remember that Teccinno tea I told you all about? It tastes like coffee & doesn't make my tummy sick. So we'll have to see how it tastes in the tea. I might try making ice cream with goats cream too. I make homemade ice cream anyway, not as much as I used to though. I got this maker that you keep in the freezer & you don't have to use ice & salt, so very little mess. I also learned if you put a shot of alcohol in it right before it's done it won't get icy, also a couple egg yolks. As for the nickel problem, when I did the Master Cleanse, my nickel allergy changed. It used to bug my left ear only to wear junk jewelry , now it bugs my right ear only. I was thinking maybe if I do the cleanse again it might get rid of it. I also recall reading Cilantro gets rid of metals in your body, it's a sort of chealtor if I remember right? I love cilantro. Right now I am on a nickel free diet..and all the grains, most green vegs, all nuts etc. are a no go zone..so basically anything that is suppose to be good for me..I can tell you I am feeling much better off all the stuff, unfortunately I tried to go healthier and healthier first..and it was making me more sick.. Don't just think natural means it is better for you..you need to know what your body needs but also what if any allergies and what your body can tolerate.. Guest guest
Yes, I love Cilantro. One f those things you either love or hate, huh? LOLI've had goats milk, maybe I need to try a better brand. The one I tried tasted a lot like goat cheese, which I love, but not to drink. I have been eying that Teccino stuff for awhile now. I love my coffee, but want something that at least tastes like coffee. Thanks for info. I'll try it now :)I have my husband on a Detox/ Cleanse now, I figure he's my guinea pig, tee hee hee.JackieKats3boys, I was unaware of the soy problem in organic foods. I had not idea metals were > in so many things. > > jackie > > > > I really don't know if there are any specific signs.. I knew I had a nickel allergy..things like buttons on jeans rash me out, jewelery etc.. but my symptoms included anaphalasic reactions, hives all over, swelling of the lips etc.. they tested for lots of food but everything was coming up a low positive..and certain foods like seafood etc that I knew triggered reactions were actually coming up negative... I ended up doing the patch test where they put patches on your back containing small drops of things and you keep them on for 48 hrs..then they take them off and look.. I tested positive for a few things.. on a scale of 1-3 I am a 4+ on nickel..one of the other things was something called Kathon which is an antibacterial preservative used in soaps etc.. I was using this in the soap at work so nothing worse than washing your hands and then sitting down to eat when you just contaminated your hands with what you are allergic too. My understanding is only 5 % of the population has true allergies, meaning you are truely allergic to something and not just an adverse reaction or intolerability..10 % of those will have a nickel allergy although nickel allergy is considered contact dermatitis so most people will get a rash from metal objects etc..less than 5% of those who have a nickel allergy will get a systematic reaction like I do and need to avoid nickel containing foods.. Unfortunately with nickel they can not desensitize with immunetherapy like they can with most other allergies.. But I am a freak..and have to do things the hard way..just to be different and had to throw in a few other good allergies just to balance things out.. I will say I am feeling better, my goiter is slowly going away..my heart rate is now at 80 and it has not been there resting for almost 2 years..not consistantly.. I would not reccomend anyone doing the nickel free diet with out positive testing and the help of a dietican etc...but I would reccomend patch testing from an allergist for anyone with multiple allergies that can not be pinpointed etc.. Allergies..sulpha, sulphites, penicillin, Biaxin, erythomycin, msg, nickel, gold, Kathon( antibacterial presevative) , disperse blues ( dyes for clothing, tatoos etc) Cobalt salts( synthetic B12),bronopol ( preservative in cosmetics) thiuram mix( rubber gloves, fungicides and a few other things)... You notice nothing listed here is real food..it is all chemical. On a side note I spent a lot of time trying to find the mineral balance for Nickel..if you look at the side of a multi vitamin yo unotice nickel listed as an essential mineral..in fact there is only 6 essential minerals.. nickel is not needed, it is not natural in the forms it is found in especially in our foods..
