Guest guest
Hi everyone, You might remember me as the one with Hashimoto's who stopped taking her Armour on Dec. 25th and wrote in with questions. I pasted one of my older posts in this email for reference. Even though my thyroid isn't dead yet and I was hoping to go HYPERthyroid and get RAI, some of you said you believed I would go HYPOthyroid. I'm afraid you could be right... Can I get more thoughts and advice? My basal temps have been really weird, but showing an overall decreasing pattern (I chart them on a graph). As the past few weeks have gone by, my lower back (fibromyalgia) continues to hurt badly, I become increasingly tired, kind of depressed, cold hands and feet, water retention, and have constipation. At first when I stopped the Armour, my moods were better, my energy level seemed the same, and I actually felt somewhat HYPER at times. As Topper mentioned to me, maybe by body was using up its stored T4. Here is where I'm confused though...my temps last week were hanging around 98.1 and then suddenly on Friday Jan 12th, it dove to 97.2. That night, I became really sick and had a lot of vomitting (mainly water) and diarrhea. The next morning, I still felt kind of sick - mainly tired though, and I was no longer throwing up or going to the bathroom. My temp that morning shot up to 98.3 (not high enough that it's a fever, but high for me lately). SO, did I have a flu bug or what? Is my thyroid trying to work???Topper, did you ever have this experience as you started going HYPO? Yesterday, my basal temp was 98.1 and this morning it was 97.9. I took my temp this evening out of curiosity, and it's only 97.7. I feel tired, achy, and nauseous. The main reason I stopped taking the Armour was because it really felt like it wasn't helping me. I'm wondering if it was actually helping me a little bit. I don't see my doc until Feb 6th and I don't know what to do. I think I want to try a different thyroid med. I wish I could look into the future and know what my thyroid will do...I hate this Hashis - I wish my thyroid would just die. Maybe it is...how do I know for sure!!!???? Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Please help!!! Thank you! > Re: Hashimoto's > & Fibromyalgia > connection? etc. > > > > > Thanks for your response.
