Guest guest
well, Jude and I had a great holiday - On the 23rd, we had a tree- trimming party (during which the pipes under my sink blew! as I was washing dishes - and wondering " where is all this water coming from?? " - no problem thoug - I turned the water off, finished washing up in the bathroom, and then had another glass of wine ) We tracked Santa with Norad on christmas eve - my son, who's almost 9, believes completely and utterly in Santa Clause; and believes, further, that I am in regular contact with him i.e., he'll ask me " Ma, have you called santa yet? " On the 26th, we went to Boston for a few days - what a beautiful and delightful city! We walked all over - from the south end to the north end, to Beacon Hill and to Back Bay...just lovely, and accessible, and clean! (I live in Manhattan where it's not all that clean...)My son is such a pleasure to be with, truely...just a delight... and it struck me that a month ago, I wouldn't have been able to walk like that - the taxotere really flattened me... I had my infusion of herceptin this morning, so Jude satayed with his babysitter (a 17 year old boy who lives in our building) - right now, they're outside playing basketball (with no jackets! I tell you, the weather has been spring-like for the whole month of december!) peace marisa

I went with my daughter (14), her friend and my friend with her (3) and (6) year olds to NYC last Wednesday to see the tree, light candles and wonder at St. 's, shop etc. A wonderful, but exhausting day and I agree with you about the Taxotere (or Taxol) - wouldn't have happened! I have (2) herceptins left!!! It's a very happy new year here!! Best to you and Jude always! Best,
