Hi Everyone,

I had the hidascan of my liver. and that was the hardest thing I did

today.. lying on a narrow, hard table flat on my back for a solid hour and

not moving.. my back , and hips were really hurting .. I suppose from lack

of padding.. when the test was over. The doctor should have the typed report

in his office Thursday morning. Then , I went over to the radiology dept and

had an ultrasound of my abdomen.. to check for stones in the common bile

duct, etc.. I know that the tech was seeing the stone in my right kidney as

she took a bunch of views of my right kidney and the mass in my left kidney

as she also took a bunch of views of that. I thought I had time to go and do

some errands, and etc, and then report back to the hospital for my EGD and

colonoscopy. To be sure, I stopped in the endo lab and asked what time to

return, and due to the very nasty weather, and the GI doctor being on time

and moving right along, they said to take a seat and wait.. I was called back

in a matter of minutes.. was done with both procedures and home before 2 pm..

that was God answering my prayers.. I had been on clear liquids the day

before, doing a bowel cleansing prep, and then nothing by mouth after

midnight.. and boy, was I ever dreading having to wait until 3-4 pm to have

these tests done. Anyways, I dont have a gastric ulcer. my pouch is still

intact and small, and everything else looked fine.. The colonoscopy was

totally normal.. didnt reveal any masses, polyps, diverticulitis, etc..

Hopefully, Dr Rothwell will have a plan as to what has been causing this

pain.. Dr Sedghi.. GI doctor... thinks most likely severe adhesions from all

the abdominal surgeries I have had in the past two and half years and so

closely together.. I dont know if I have to have surgery to correct the

adhesions yet, if that is what the problem is. They were talking about if

these tests were inconclusive, to make me go through an MRI Cholangiogram to

be sure I dont have a hidden stone in the common bile duct .. CT scans,

hidascans and ultrasounds can miss stones so I am told..

Anyways, I am off to bed. it was a long , tiring day.. and I still feel a

bit groggy.

Hugs,

from GA

- Glad to hear that you zipped through those tests. I would be exhausted,

too, after all that in one day. I pray you are able to find an answer to your

pain. Take care, my friend.
