I had 12 yeast infections from Jan 2002 to October 2002. Some so bad that I had to miss work. The OBGYN was prescribing everything from cream (which you can by OTC) to Diflucan. It would go away, and then come right back. Finally, I did a search on the net for " chronic yeast infections " and it listed high blood sugars as a reason...then the light bulb went on - constant thirst, rapid weight loss, etc...the classic symptoms. I made an appt to see my MD and sure enough, the fasting BG was over 400. The rest is history...I went straight to insulin. Yeast infections, in a diabetic, are a sign of poor blood sugar control. The higher your sugars, the more yeast...
