Hey y'all,

Deadline is next Thursday for Call for Presentations. Call or write if

you have any questions! Thanks,

The Texas Department of State Health Services announces a Call for

Presentations (CFP) for Texas EMS Conference 2007 to be held in Houston,

Texas, om November 18-21. This year's conference will be held at the

R. Brown Convention Center. One of the largest EMS conferences in

the nation, Texas EMS Conference draws more 2,000 EMS professionals from

Texas and the other states, and another 1,000 who are exhibitors,

faculty and volunteers.

The format for presentation/workshops is changing slightly this year. We

plan to have fewer one-hour presentations, and more two-hour, hands-on

workshops during the conference. Typically, an instructor who has one of

these two-hour, skills-based workshops to offer will be able to set up

equipment and use one room all day to teach three sessions of the same

class. One-hour presentations will be held in the larger rooms; two-hour

workshops will be limited in size.

We will still encourage people to submit proposals for preconference

classes for Saturday and Sunday of between 4 and 16 hours.

Please read the CFP intro page on the website below for more explanation

plus a breakdown of the honorariums for each presentation or workshop.

Be creative! If you would like to talk to me about the class before you

submit it, you are welcome to give me a call at , or to

email me at kelly.harrell@....

The deadline for proposals is March 15, 2007.

All proposals must be submitted electronically using the forms available

at the links below. (I've included our old and new websites in case one

crashes - as it did this week.)
