Guest guest
Dear Group, I have an appointment at the Mayo Clinic next month for a check up. I have never been there. My family doctor knows I am going. He said that would be fine. Have any of you ever gone through the clinic? What do I ask about? I know there are specialists for everything there. I have issues about heart, my type II diabetes, digestive tract, numbness in my three fingers, skin, etc. but these are conditions. There is not anything immediately life threatening. Could you help me know what to ask about as far as diabetes is concerned? I may have just answered my own questions though. I have been reading the threads about making lists, so that got me thinking. When I get home from vacation here, I have to fill out a lengthy interview packet. I have been diagnosed for 1 1/2 years. My A1c is 5.8 right now. My cousin urged me to go and arranged for the appointment. My folks went their later years to the clinic. I could ask tons of questions and ask for tons of tests, but I want to hit on the ones that really make a difference in the course my life is taking now. I appreciate any thoughts or advice in egroup or off list. Thank you. It may take a while to check the email and answer because I am on AmTrak for the next two days.
