Guest guest
Today is my day to vent. It is not the doctors that is working with the drug companies in order to prescribe more meds. It is all the utility companies, telephone companies, etc. LOL I have spent 30 minutes trying to get through to someone at AOL and when finally I got a person, he told me he could not answer the question and hung up. Last week, I called to change our long distance since AT&T was going to start charging $5.00 per month for a service we don't use. I had to call both AT&T and Verizon. I spent an hour doing this. I don't know how people that work get these things done. If I called our bank and got this kind of service, I would change banks. However, with telephone companies, gas companies, electric companies, etc, most of the time you don't have an option. There is no way I would check my blood pressure because I know it is high. Glad I don't have a doctor's appointment today. Thanks for letting me vent. Think I'll go outside with a cup of coffee, listen to the birds, watch the fish in the pond so I can relax and get blood pressure back to normal. hugs Eunice
Guest guest
Hi Eunice, I also get very upset about this and my husband even more so which is why I have to make all the calls as he has to be on the phone too much at work. We have Qwest which is far from perfect but has greatly improved. I also had a nightmare time with Verizon when I had a cell phone with them and ended up having to write 5 letters since I could never get a person to talk to. Its been awhile but if its any consolation we have better customer service here than when I was overseas! I also get high blood pressure from this stuff. Guest guest
This is so true. Comcast like to charge me for installs and stuff that I dont get. Its like $30 a pop. So i call, complain, and wait. I had them charge me for hooking up cable to 4 rooms. I only had 1 done. Its so frustrating. I had a tech once get mad and kick one of my cats. Let me tell you, i went through the roof. They are so rude. One tried to tell me the system was down and thats why the home phone didnt worked. I called them on my cell phone and guess what, the system was just fine, the guy didnt apparently want to finish the job. I dont seem to have a problem with the gas, electric, or water company, jut the cable and phone. > > I feel like I have to comment. Guest guest
I am a Customer service agent for a cable company, I get so tired of the customers getting so rude, and using the Lords name in vain...I will be honest, they lie like there is no truth, there are two sides to every story.....so remember that please, I am fed up with people trying to get things for free, lying about what time they had their hook up, just so they can get what they want, at the cost of a customer service agent that is just trying to do her job....you get more flies with honey....and trust me.....you all are dishing out vinager...(<--?) I disagree, I would pose the question, what happened to respect, and honesty...and for God sakes read your kids a book lol............... However, there are also many customers who have quite valid concerns and complaints; which are treated by reps like they lie. I stopped by BestBuy Sunday to check out a laptop computer. They had one that fit my budget, but I had left home without my wallet. They had 2 left. I asked if they could hold one for me and I'd be in Monday to get it, right after work. They said sure, no problem. Took my name (watched them write it down)... Guess what? Monday, at 4PM, I was there, but not my computer. They had sold both. The person I talked to wasn't there. The first people I dealt with had a 'well what do you want me to do about it?' attitude. After I asked to speak to a manager, I got someone who took responsibility and not only found the same machine at another local store, went out of his way to send someone over there to pick it up for me. I didn't ask for anything free, I didn't expect anything other than for the commitment made to me to be honored. Unfortunately, many people consider customer complaints simply ploys to get free goods or services. If more places looked at those complaints as a tool to identify problems and to improve services less money would need to be spent to find new customers!
