MIRALAX - GREAT CURE FOR CONSTIPATION

Max was having a lot of constipation issues (and apparently many other CHARGErs

do too) and his doctor recently put him on Miralax. And it is WONDERFUL! I

highly recommend it.

It keeps him very regular and everything moving right along...yay! Just thought

I'd share with everyone...

Miralax is indeed great, but it is not perfect. Be on the lookout as your

child gets older for bouts of diarrhea and the need to always be aware of

changing the dose for a day or more. I hate that (22) will always be

dependent on bowel meds, but the constipation, as you know, is even

worse. Just remember to be watchful. I never thought that I (as well as

her staff) woud have to maintain bowel logs, but they've been necessary in

guiding us all. Martha

Actually Meagan's twin is on that! It is a miracle cute!

The mention of my child's name might make me cry. Not mentioning my child's

name will break my heart. Unknown

I second this!!! Rasha started it last Wed and the change in her was

noticeable within hours!!! We noticed a huge drop in her vomiting

and her breath smells sweet again!

Martha-

Thanks for the tip! In curing one problem we often create another.

Good to remember not to get into a false sense of security like I

can stop thinking about a problem because I think I've " fixed it " .

I can echo what Martha said. Both my non-CHARGE son Max (3 yrs old)

and my Charger Felix (10 months) are on Miralax. Max has been on it

for two years and after awhile, you do need to really watch their BM

patterns. Without ever changing the dose, we can go from regular to

constipated for two days to three days of constant diarrhea. It is

great, but if you are on it for the long term, it starts to act funny

on you.

Just my experience...

Hi,

too has had constipation problems. It has been bad enough in

the past that he was hospitalized a couple of times because of it. He

has been on the Miralax for a couple of years now. It has helped

allot.

I want to echo the advice of monitoring. 's dose can flucuate

depending on BMs. Sometime he will go off it for a couple of days

when needed.

Amy,

Yes, I agree. That did the trick for Ethan too when he was constipated a

while ago. Now we have switched him to Pediasure with Fiber and he is having no

problems.
