Guest guest
I just finally got back from my perodontist appointment today and man... what a great dentist! He had a really cool personality and was really fun to talk to. He did violate my rule of not having fish or real plants, BUT he did have a few air purifiers, which right now to me are worth everything, so maybe I'll have a 3 rule list now LOL. He said that he had lots of allergies and had taken most of the meds that I took and he also said that he had really bad allergies so he knows what it's like. He also said that he didn't understand what the doctor's problems were when their patients would be in the normal ranges of labs but still feel off and he thought that patients should be treated by how they feel. Well, you can guess that my mouth hit the floor when he said this. I was very shocked and he even knew about free levels!! Dr. Peavy brought them up when looking at my history. He is very big on natural treatments and was quite happy to give me a bottle of a really cool product. It's being used to help delay HIV/AIDS progress in people in Africa and it does so by boosting the immune system. It basically helps people to 'boost' their immune system to that of a healthy mouth. I'll post the info for it later . He wanted me to do some research on it and let him know what I come up with as it was recommended to him by another dentist's who's son suffered from Chrone's Disease and a few other things and after using it got better. Dr. Peavy gave it to his mom to try to help with some of her ailments LOL. Dr. Peavy told me that I need a cleaning and wants me to go to Greensboro to have a cat scan of my teeth done so that they can see the bone alignment so that when he did the shaving of my gums, he'd know how much to take off, that he didn't just want to dive in and not be a good dentist... He told me that I would need about 5 years from start to finish until I have straight teeth, which is very cool with me and happy to oblige . OOOOhhhh, AND Dr. Peavy also recommended me to an internist so that I can get straightened out physically. And he didn't say a word about my adrenal meds... I want to give him proper credit.. I definitely am over my dental anxiety. Here is a link to his website if you'd like to see it. Dr. Peavy practices in Winston-Salem, NC and I am recommending him as one of my top docs, er... dentists . http://thehappygumshop.com/contact.htm
