Guest guest Posted December 11, 2006 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 Sounds hormonal...could you be menopausal? cholesteral hdl (good) 29 mg/dl 35-85 ldl-c (bad) 75 mg/dl 0-130 tsh (hyper-sensitive) 0.05 uiu/ml 0.34-5.60 t4 1.03 ng/dl 0.58-1.64 t3 5.4 pg/ml 2.4-6.8 hematocrit 36.5 37.0-47.0 these are my results with the range . my simptoms are headaches, mood swings, i feel tired, get angry easely, i feel like a lump in my throat when i swallow, i feel hot all the time,i have hot flashes, i also cant stand cold too much, exausted, frustraded, i also have fibromyalgia witch is bad enough. i haven't have my cicle for about 8 month. etc. well i hope someone can tell me if these ranges are ok. thanks leslie. The hot flashing and no cycles indicates problems with the WHOLE hormonal system, as in the female hormones. That hdl cholesterol, though, I don't see how they can say that that is good, as this is the cholesterol that's too low, out of range, and it's the one that's supposed to be higher. ??? Also, that hematocrit is questionable, and I'm wondering if you don't need a ferritin done for iron, not just serum iron, and also maybe a test for the transport protein that carries it back and forth and in and out of storage. When it comes to hyper, you may be utilizing the hormone very well in your body cells and still be hyper, but I doubt that you are. The T4 is low but I would ask the doc to retest the T3, make sure it is a free..also get a TT3 test done to see how much is bound and have the doc run antibody testing..specifically TSI..TSI stimulates the thyroid with out TSH and could be the early signs of hyper.
