Guest guest
I would like to wish all of you wonderful people a very merry Christmas and happy New Year. Things are so busy this time of the year and I know that any time you have is very precious right now. I know that this next week will extremely busy and intense for our family. My son who is just about to turn fifteen has found a lump in one of his testicles. Its about the size of a pea a little bigger and is hard. We have some apts and testing Monday morning. God all I want for Christmas this year is a good bill of health for him, do what you want to me but don't do to him what you have put me through. They say God only dishes out what you can handle. I don't know exactly how much more I can take but, this in my opinion is just a bit much. With all the hustle and bustle of the season this really puts things in perspective. I do hope everyone does have a wonderful and safe holiday. Season Greetings. tt. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Theresa, I know exactly what you mean. I have had the same feelings regarding " do what you want to me - but don't mess with my kids " ! I will pray that your son is okay and that the tests show nothing to be alarmed about. I also have a 15 year old son, and couldn't bear it if anything happened to him. We are going through a bit of the same with my daughter who is 17. She had a bad PAP - then a colposcopy which revealed that she has a moderate pre-cancer dysplasia and now has to have a LOOP procedure done in the hospital the first week of next year. I haven't even told her she has to have the LOOP - we decided to wait until after Christmas to tell her - I don't know if that's " right " but I'm trying to spare her some worry. It's just awful when your kids have to face these scary issues. I'll keep you in my prayers - best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and hopes for us ALL for a healthy 2007. Guest guest
Theresa: I don't know what God does or doesn't do. I just know that He promises to be there with us through all the circumstances of life, good and bad. Without Him, I don't think this cancer thing is bearable. Your son and you will be in my prayers and thoughts as you hopefully receive great medical car. Fifteen is so young and having your child find a lump anywhere is just not something a parent wants to have happen. Take care. Guest guest
Hey Ellen I think you are doing the right thing by waiting until after Christmas. Whats a few more day. I hope everything goes well for you daughter. It's so very hard when your kids have to go through things. But thank goodness we as survivors have the knowledge to help them get through the tough times. We will have the test results for my son back in a couple of days. My poor boy was so embarrassed at the doctors this morning. But they were all very good and praised him for saying something about his condition. A lot of times young boys are too embarrassed to speak up and when they do their condition has gotten bad. Have a good day. TT Ellen emc_mom4@...> wrote: Theresa, I know exactly what you mean.
