Guest guest
Clear DayMy husband was in AFib from the time he went to the doctor in February until late April when he had a cardioversion. For 10 days after the cardioversion, he was in NSR. Then Sunday he leaned over and lifted a mildly heavy box, and went into AFib. We hoped against hope that he would self convert, but that didn't happen. So we set up on Monday for another cardioversion on Tuesday, time off from work, etc. About mid-afternoon Monday, his heart self-converted to NSR! Wonders never cease! Guest guest
My very first experience with all this was last year when I had A-Flutter badly enough for me to FINALLY seek some help. I ended up in the ER with a HR of about 160. They diagnosed A-Flutter almost immediately and put me in ICU for a couple days to see it I would self convert. I didn't but then, just as they came in the room to cardiovert me, the nurse looked at the monitor and said, " This is your lucky day, you just converted yourself. " I was in sinus at a nice steady 65 or so and was released later that day. Sadly, I seem to have lost that ability somewhere in the last year and almost always end up getting cardioverted now.
