I'm sorry for your left-out mommy heart. I remember when was

2-yrs-old finally decided Dad was awesome and quit needing me only and

always. I actually rejoiced! But, you know, Aubrie will take Dad at times

and that's lovely, but I know I'm the one for all the big stuff. I think

it'd be hard for me if she turned to him during those times. I can imagine

your mixed feelings. It warms your heart to see the man you love and the

child you love having such a strong bond - but then there's the part of you

that wants to scream, " But I'm the Mom! "

I know the grown woman in you will get through it just fine. If it lasts

too long, will be pulling his hair out and you will be rejoicing and

snickering. I have visions of you eating bon-bons on the couch relaxing

with and as Meagan chases a bleary-eyed through the house

:-)

I hope Meagan continues to heal well, that her pain subsides soon, and that

her development and growth take off.
