I found this on their site today. I also did some math. 2 1/2

capsuls of the Complete Omega 3.6.9 is equal to 1/2 tsp of the same oil. The

same is true of the ProEFA. Just in case you were wondering. Will gets 1/2 tsp

each day, and boy do I like the results. We are currently out and can't wait to

get more. I hope this helps someone else.

FYI 6 tsp = 1 ounce

8/4/2004 Q: Hi Louise, I recently read the book " The Late Talker "

and I am interested in purchasing the ProEFA. The natural foods store that we

shop in sells many of the products made by Nordic Naturals yet I am not finding

the ProEFA on the shelf. Can you help me this ? Thank you. A:

The ProEFA is sold as the COMPLETE OMEGA when it is marketed for retail in

stores. So, look for it with that label and you should be successful!!! It is

the same product. I hope this clears up any confusion.

For all those using Nordic naturals...

I just spent some time on the website while ordering pro-EFA. Turns out that

Pro-EFA liquid and Omega 3-6-9 liquid ARE exactly the same product with a

different name. Pro-EFA only comes in 4 oz bottles and is $26, while omega

3/6/9 comes in an 8 oz bottle and is $29. So you save nearly 50% by using

the omega 3/6/9. Since we now have the whole family on it (2 with dyslexia,

1 with probably dyslexia & ADHD symptoms (resolved with omega), the baby

with apraxia, and me - just forgetful...its getting pricey (but totally

worth it). Thought others might find this useful information. -

Hi Sherry,

I am a mother of a 26 month old. I am giving him one capsule proEFA, a day. I

also ordered the liquid Complete Omega 3 6 9. How much of the liquid compares to

one capsule of proEFA.

Thanks,

Manjeet

just over 2 capsuls is the same as 1/2 tsp. If you want to continue your

current dose, according to my calculations, that would be 1/4 tsp.

I printed out both liquid and capsul forms of both the ProEFA and Complete

Omega 3-6-9 and looked at them side by side.I could easily compare amounts of

each as well as dosage and price.

Nordic is a wonderful product, my hubby is a cardiologist & we all

take Pro- EPA & the liquid CLO, the liquid is much more concentrated

than the caps. Natural A & D is very good for our kids. The peach

flavor's not bad, it is backordered alot, worth the wait.

This website has helped us, well me (my hubsand knows everything)

(ha) understand the use of EFA's & why they are " Essential. "

My son is ADD, speech delayed(big time) sensory issues, we have seen

great improvements with the DAN approach. We do not chelate with

chemicals, we are using a natural approach. It works.

PS If you know someone in the medical field(they must be licensed)

that will order for you, you save about 50%.

I hope this helps.

I agree that Nordic Naturals is a great product -but no disrespect -

the capsules are filled with the exact same liquid as the liquid =

fish oil. Fish oil is fish oil, so in this case one is no more

concentrated than the other. I do believe that some pharmaceuticals

are looking into or have already made some EFA products that are

more concentrated than fish oil, like the one product Kathy posted

about (can't remember the name and don't have time to look for it at

the moment) But actually between the capsule liquid and the liquid

in the bottle the capsule liquid stays fresher years longer and

without refrigeration and children like my son notice the difference

in the taste. With fish oil you have to worry about rancidity

because fish oil is very unstable with oxygen (obviously right?) :o)

And the CLO and ProEFA together? You have changed the formula to

one that isn't as successful for this group. Check the archives -

once people stop the CLO and just use the formula of say ProEFA or

one even higher in EPA, there are far more surges. Most CLOs are

higher in DHA. Got to run but you can check history here too:

Try giving it twice a day - so actually doubling the dose. We saw more

impressive surge by doing it this way rather than doubling the dose and

giving it all at once. Don't know if this will turn out to be true for

others - but we are now giving pro-EFA 1/2 tsp 3 times a day (for a 30 month

old). -

Hi ,

Can you please share with me, how is your child's speech right now. Also can

you please tell me how he progressed through different dosages. When did you

start giving him pro EFA, and how you changed and it's effects.

My child is 26 month old. He only says Hi, Bye, Juice, Izza or (Pizza), Mom,

Mum, Mama, Daddy, up, here. Since I have started giving him ProEFA since two

months back, he is starting to imitate more sounds, but still don't use them

regularly. I am really desperate, I want to help him.
