Please help me get the word out concerning trhe National Registry Assessment

exam. If a candidate decides to take the National Registry Assessement exam

as an option for recertification, or if they are taking it to complete their

non NR Out of State reciprocity requirement they must complete a DSHS

application and submit their fees before they will be allowed to sit for the NR

assessment exam.

Also get the word out to initial candidates to make sure the are completing

the correct application when they register on line, several initial

candidates have completed the Assessment application instead of the Initial

Certification Application.

Thanks in Advance for helping me spread the word, if you have any questions

please call of me( actually an e-mail may be better.)

Thanks Maxie, but where do they take the exam? I have an employee needing to

take the exam and she has gotten three different answers from three

different people at the state.

So, Maxie, what really IS the difference between the NR initial exam and the

Assessment exam content-wise?

When I called NR, the lady informed me (who knows if correctly) that you

must also be 'unable' to complete your recert the regular way i n order

to do it by exam. I was asking about the Basic, dunno if it also applies

to other levels.

What is " the regular way? "

I think we need for DSHS and NREMT to clarify these questions that always

come up. Maybe NREMT could put up a web page for FAQs.

NREMT is notoriously bad at answering questions from its customers. One

call gets one answer, another call gets another answer, or there's no answer at

all.

I talk to NREMT people who tell me that things are getting better, and I

believe them. They are trying to improve their customer relations. But if

one

of you has a beef with the NREMT please send it to Maxie. He has promised,

and I believe him, that he will hold NREMT's feet to the fire and deal with

any sort of shortcomings that they may exhibit.
