There wasn't a thematic or style prompt. ***************************************** I have struggled through crisises in life Surgeries, doctors, and social isolation Elementary was cold, middle school was when it was thawing, and high school is warmth No child would dare talk with me in Elementary I was too weird, too different I ate differently and I had a trache I also had health aids It was cold, winter was here To make things worse, I had a lot of stress in life Surgeries, doctor appointments, physical therapy, hormone therapy It never ended The pressure was immense After Elementary, My social life was thawing, Spring was here I was learning how to socialize But Middle Schoolers are idiots And I couldn't relate In Middle School, I had no health aids I only ate through a tube I had a trache in 7th, but not in 8th grade It was thawing Summer is coming and Winter is Receding High School is summer I grew up in that time I ate with three girls and their groups , , Bre They are my friends at school now Bre is the brightest star in my life now My life is in summertime and it will last forever, unlike the Earth Now I am on growth hormone Reaching for the stars When I started High School, I was 4 ft 3, now 5 ft 3 Graduation is coming CSUN and Cal Poly in Pomona next The rest of my life after So are the ends to growth hormone therapy, testosterone therapy, and a back brace Summertime is here and it will last Forever and ever This is dedicated to my good friends in life.
