HI, I have just joined this group and would like to take a moment to say HI.

I have been a diabetic for over 20 years. I have secondary type 1 diabetes.

I had pancreatic cancer when I was very young and since they had to remove

almost all of it I have been dependant on insulin injections ever since. I do

well in controlling it even thoguh I slip off the special diet wagon once in a

while (smile). I have also many other health problems which complicate the

diabetes but I am so far good with it. I am currenlty pregnant with my fifth

child so I will be monitoring it even more closely.

I live in Ontario Canada adn will try my best to remember to convert my

reading over to the USA numbers any time I speak of them.

Welcome, Angie.. And I love the Eleanor Roosevelt quote - one of my

favorites - and one I sometimes think I should staple on my forehead

(backwards, so I can READ it in the mirror!)
