Gene et al.,

Same song different verse eh? I really believed 9/11 would really wake

everyone up and things would get better...money would flow, birds would

fly..or maybe it was just pigs flying.

Why yes I do Dr. Pangloss, my son says it is Friday and he has the weekend off

from school. So for him, that is good news. Now back to our program.

I do not have all the facts, so I should not post this until I do and have

thoroughly vetted them. Also, the authors may be jumping to conclusions before

all the facts are in; in fact, it may all be a complete lie or rumor. It

sounds like the hysterical whining of Chicken Little.

So, I'm not really posting it, because it's negative toward EMS and a city

and a provider and the government and Medicare and insurance companies. It's

not posted; it's just " here. "

So don't read it. Be happy. All is well. Thanks for all you do.

Doesn't anybody have any good news to post?

EMS is underfunded across the board. Both private insurance and the

federal government do not reimburse adequately for prehospital care,

stuck in the days when all the Ambulance Drivers did was carry the

patient to the hearse and drive them to the hospital. Then you get into

a situation like in Buffalo, where Rural Metro has to pay the city in

order to provide service to the city (as opposed to the city paying the

ambulance service). And they wonder why wages stink.....
