The GETAC Disaster/Emergency Preparedness Task Force will hold its next

meeting in Austin on March 7-8; see abridged e-mail from Epley

below. Details about the meeting location and various meeting documents

will be placed on the GETAC website when they become available.

Our next meeting date is March 7th from 4pm to 7pm, and March 8th from

9am to 12pm. The group present felt the evening/morning format was very

effective and those traveling long distances especially appreciated the

second day, versus killing two work days for a 2-3 hr mtg in Austin.

We will meet in Austin, tentatively at either the Airport Hilton if we

are able to arrange a meeting room, or at THA if Ernie Schmid can host

us. Neither of these sites is confirmed yet, but as soon as I have

confirmation, I will email the group.

I would highly encourage you to be at the next set of meetings, my sense

is there will be another push for activity with the fact that hurricane

season is upon us again. I know there will be interest in meeting with

the EMS/ambulance guys and the GDEM personnel.

Please email me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Best,

Epley
