Ok, well i just got back from my sleep study and after a year of so much of

that dratted goop they use to attach electrodes on my head...... THEY FINALY

CAUGHT MY SEIZURES!!!!! WOOT! lets see 3 eegs, 2 sleep studies and 2 mri's

sigh. thats a lot of wires and GOOP!

ok lol i know i shouldnt be so happy I have the seizures but at least i got

answers!!! AND they are putting me on 2 meds. Clonezapram for controlling

night time seizures and the dratted ritlin in the day time, i didnt really

want to go on but its small dosage for now and if it dosnt work in keeping

me awake durring the day then they will try another similar med. If the

Clonezapram works then i may not even need the ritalin but we will see.

Chantelle-

I am whooping with you!! No, it's not great that you have seizures. But

it's wonderful that you know about them and may find some relief for the

symptoms they cause! I look forward to hearing how the meds work for you.

Wow., Chantelle.

Finally some confirmation for things you have been thinking about for a

while. Sorry about the ³dratted goop² but GREAT that the ³dratted goop² got

you to this point.

Chantelle,

I'm so glad you got some answers. You know, when you mentioned mind blanks

before, I immediately thought of seizures because has them and some of the

symptoms you were describing reminded me a lot of when she has them. But

I hesitated to say anything because I didn't want to alarm you if it was just

stress or fatigue. I'm glad you got it checked out and got some confirmation

and some medications to help control them. You may see a world of difference

now that you have something to help control them.

Actualy the " mind blanks " are seperate from the seizure activity. Kinda

complicated to explain. Um the mind blanks are brought on by stress. Not

sure what triggers the night time seizures though.

Fantasic news! I know how hard it can be to get a diagnosis, but this

seems a good thing. I, too, go in tomorrow for an appointment, if I don't

run away from home first. This darn ice storm has left us all whipped and

not happily in tact.... Martha
