Guest guest
Marilyn, If you brought it up one would think it would be addressed correctly. However as I am well aware it seems to be our job to keep on top of them... Having said that....In the back of our parental rights brochure there is the fine print....It tells you that you can file a complaint with the state board. A phone number to contact and then it is taken from there. You are given the time frame of 3 years...meaning you can go back and make a complaint from 2004 and still get action. According to our state board they must investigate all complaints...they may find in the schools favor but they still need to close the complaint. Other parents have used this and the school gets a slap on the hand and told to correct matters. This helps you establish a pattern of behavior not just an isolated incident or an oops!... we forgot. Now they should be ashamed of themselves....Why if any student is not allowed to use lame excuses for incorrect, incomplete work we should accept these lame excuses from adults that know better. Good luck, I would file even if they attempt to correct...She has lost precious educational time due to their oversight.
