I talked to my daufgter about what they had to do for their bi-polar daughter

and she said when flipped out they called the cops which you have done many

times it sounds like. They got her into therapy which didn't help a whole lot.

She got so bad wwwwwwwwwwith wwwwanting to hurt the others in her family that

she was finally put in a group setting at a place called Vanderhyden in Albany.

She wwwas there twice which seemed to help. She's home now but still flips out

so then they put her in a mental health unit at their hospital. She has been in

jail and court many times and is on probation. This week she had to visit a

prison which she thought was gross because some guys we urinating on the floor.

So hopefully this makes a lasting impression on her. The guys told the group

that the women's prison is worse yet. Maybe that's what your daughter needs, a

reality check. She said she really didn't have any real advice because you just

have to go through the system starting with getting the diagnosis, get the

school involved . First she has to be declare bi-polar. Sorry I can't be of more

help. I know this isn't helping your bs any but keep praying as I'm sure all of

us will be doing for you. Did your daughter run again? Lois

They had a program like that here in New Jersey. I am not sure if they

still use it. It was called Scared Straight.

They use to take them to the Rahway Prison for the day. I heard it was

pretty successful.
