Guest guest
I forgot to tell everyone about my experience with the IV when I went in for surgery--remember how upset I was beforehand? Well, I asked the nurse who was helping me if Gail was working, because she had started IVs for me in the past and did a WONDERFUL job. The nurse smiled and said she'd be right back. She found Gail and Gail started my IV so efficiently that I didn't even feel it! She said that she was always happy to help people who request her because making the patients feel at ease was her main goal. When Gail was gone I spoke to the other nurse and told her that I hope she wasn't offended that I had asked for Gail. She just laughed and said she was glad that I did because if I had ended up having a hard time with the IV she would have felt terrible for upsetting me. She said that she wished more patients would speak up for themselves. So, as you see, everything went fine. I want to thank everyone who prayed for me and thought about me while I was worrying about this aspect of surgery. T.
