Guest guest
Clayton EMS is a volunteer ambulance service in a very small community in Muskogee County Oklahoma and this left them completely without ambulance coverage. I spoke to the Leflore County EMS Director this morning and he said their small community is still in complete shock. They have a neighboring fire department covering EMS calls in that area. The funeral time and day has not yet been announced. Below, I listed the Clayton EMS address, if anyone would like to send a word of encourage to their department. Oklahoma yesterday. Clayton EMS was transporting a pregnant female from another vehicle crash to the hospital. The patients water had broken and she was carrying twins. While transporting, they apparently hit black ice and lost control, with the ambulance rolling multiple times. The vehicle operator was seat belted in and suffers relatively minor injuries. The medic, Janeze Case, 51 suffered multiple traumatic injuries and died. Both of the twin babies also died. The patient remained strapped to the cot and received minor injuries as a result of the second crash. Mutual aid units responded to the roll-over and found the medic unconscious wrapped under the cot. She was extricated & transported to the Choctaw Nation Indian Hospital where she passed away. Paramedic Case is survived by her husband and a grown son who is also a nurse at CNIH. EVERYONE BE CAREFUL
Guest guest
Thanks for the info, Bob. What a shame about the loss of the medic and the babies. May their spirits have a gentle journey. I saw a clip about an anchor at KOAT-6 (Tulsa) that was singing " Snow-klahoma " , so this must be an unusually bad winter for that part of the state.
