Everything is going fine but I find myself hungry right now! I want to eat

something. preferably something sweet and unnecessary. But I have to figure

out a different eating plan for today because I have to eat LATE with hubby

tonight around 9:30-10pm! not good for me but he has to eat when he wants to

which tonight means 10ish. sigh....

I figure breakfast and then BS# were good so far. Need to eat 2 more times

before 6:30 or 7pm and then will have a bowl of soup when he eats rather than a

meal. That's the plan. But I know I'm gonna eat with him when I see the menu!

I already know what too. darn!

I wish I could count on just 1 hunt's gelatin (out of cool whip lite eeeeek) 5

cal, 1 carb to do the trick but I figure eat one, I'll eat 2. maybe it is ok?

that would be 10 cal and 3 carbs.

then I just have to figure out what to eat again and when. arghhhhhhhhhhh

I understand this... I dealt with it yesterday.

I had planned on dinner with some friends around 5 PM (they are cooking),

and got a call saying it needed to be pushed back to 6 PM. Of course, they

didn't start cooking until 7:30 ;-) so it was 8:30 before I got to eat.

(Not to mention I had no control over the menu)

When I found out that we weren't meeting until 6 PM I figured a snack was

definately in order. So around 4:30 I had a some nuts and some sugar free

jello. (Sugar free jello is a lifesaver!)

We ended up having hamburgers, potato salad and baked beans... so I skipped

the bun, had the beans and just a little potato salad. Ended up with a

fasting this morning of 111 which was pretty good considering how late I

ate.

Hope you enjoy your dinner.

Mike,

my day was similar to yours but I had control over my food and knew

approximately when I was going to eat. hmmm, maybe not like your day LOL

:-)

but it went well. Although I had more calories than i've had in months, I

had the 'right' number of carbs at each 'meal'. My numbers were terrific

all day and this morning too.

I am still worried about getting enough strips to manage figuring this out,

but I guess I'll just have to buy them at whatever price and scimp on

something else financially. this is turning into an addiction which is also

worrying me, but I am putting worries asside for now in order to figure out

what is medically and emotionally best for me.

if only I could exercise like others maybe it would be easier? but that is

not the case. the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

BUT I got through yesterday, and have hope for today - at least right now

LOL. Hope it stays an up day!

Judith, how long have you been trying to figure this disease out?? You

appear to me to be really working hard at it, I am only into it for a month

or more, and already I see how each event brings with it a new challenge?/

Good work, keep it up and keep passing on the things you do, it helps me

alot.

Joyce,

I've sort of lost track, but I think it was either in Jan or Feb of this

year (2006)

Drs and ins companies don't like how I deal with my initial attemps and

successes (!) for the several medical issues I have (most orphan diseases),

but at some point I have to just go and do what i can get the drs to write

scrips for even if I have to loose other things I want because money can

only be spent in one place and they won't let me print my own!

this list is a godsend!

So you test often then as a NEW BEE?? I too have alot of other (orphan

diseases) as you put it, and I can't wait to talk with my Gastrologist on

monday, I have schlerderama and gastroparesis and thyroid cancer to mention

a few, wondering if my espogus problems can throw off my bg??

Be interesting to see what he says, and how to handle it.

I will let you know what he says.

JOYCE

BY the way, I just switched my endo, same place different dr, the other had

no time for me anymore, and really got upset with checking thyroid cancer

on-going thing, and NOW the diabetes, he seemed not to be able to address

both issues at an office visit?? Not because of time, but the amount of

overload at this place, too many for only a few drs.

This other dr has his own separate office, but is part of a group.

Will this new one be better, everyone says he is a DOLL!! So I will see??
