Guest guest
I don't post here much but I thought I would share some encourgaing news. In Jan. I was dx. with Type 2. My fasting BG number was 370 and my AC1 was 9.6. And I was confused, angry and received a lot of mixed information. Today my fasting BG is 129 and my AC1 is 5.4!! Everyone is different, but low carbs (and I do mean low) has made all the difference. At first it was hard, but there are lots of low carbs meals out there that are tasty. Orginally I followed Dr. Bernstein's advice by the book, but over time I am finding I do not have to be as strict as he recommends. That said, I think about some of the things he writes about such as small mistakes, small problems, big mistakes, big problems (my interpretation). Also, he writes that when you walk by a bakery and smell something good, be glad you are alive to smell it (again, my interpretation). I still have room for improvement to hopefully bring down the fasting number. I need to workout more and lose more weight. Anyways, there's hope! Guest guest
Great news, Lucinda. One of these days we will hopefully hear from you that the tumor is gone. That will be a glorious day for you and your family. Be feisty is really important. I love your e-mails and hope that the news continues to be just like this. I will keep you in my prayers. It works. The tumor, which was 5cm, is shrinking already, and feels softer. I thought so myself when I checked but thought it was just wishful thinking. He was also very pleased that the only side effect I had was hair loss. My DH told him I was a " tough, old broad " , for which I told the dr. to smack him for me...I didn't want to waste my energy..LOL!! The dr. then pointed out that our good attitude and relationship probably goes a long way in helping with the chemicals he provides. I just love this guy!
