Guest guest
Greetings All, As promised, an update -- three weeks on the Lifestar event monitor. I was " cured " by ablation #2 in 2002. The magic four year mark, which supposedly is the benchmark for a cure, will be here in a few months. From what I have read on afib support recently in addition to other sources, the " silent afib " seems to often occur after an ablation " success. " So far, still only mild tachycardia while very active, and a few false alerts due to loose wires... long may it continue. I am taking thyroid replacement meds - Armour thyroid. All pulmonary veins were ablated. I have 5 of them. There were over a dozen places to ablate. All the same since last week. Only 6 more days to go... , " cured " by ablation #2 in 2002? no meds
Guest guest
Congratulations. I am very happy to hear your news that you are on your way to 4 years afib-free, after your successful second ablation. Could you tell us about the Lifestar event monitor? Is it any different from the event monitors that many of us have used? > > Greetings All, > As promised, an update -- three weeks on the Lifestar event monitor. > I was " cured " by ablation #2 in 2002. Guest guest
Hello , The below is from the lifestar web, edited down..... LifeStar AF Express is a loop cardiac event monitor can record up to 10 minutes of single-channel ECG. Along with recording patient-activated events, like traditional monitors, it automatically records asymptomatic and symptomatic episodes of Atrial Fibrillation, Tachycardia, and Bradycardia. Hope this helps...
Guest guest
Thanks,. The Lifestar does sound much more high-tech than the traditional loop monitors that I am familiar with. Thanks for your reply. > > Hello , > The below is from the lifestar web, edited down..... > > LifeStar AF Express is a loop cardiac event monitor can record up to 10 > minutes of single-channel ECG.
