Reports are now that 1 Firefighter and 1 EMT from the Ghent FD were killed

in that gas leak/explosion near the Winterplace ski resort this morning.

The W. Va. State Fire Marshal's office is confirming that four people are

dead and four injured after that gas explosion at that general store. Two of

the injured are in critical condition; the other two are listed in serious

condition at Princeton General Hospital and, as stated, 2 of the dead are

reported to be a firefighter and an EMT from the Ghent VFD who died in the line

of

duty. More details to follow later. Our sympathies go out to all effected.

Firefighters were killed as they arrived at a reported propane leak in a 3

story warehouse, a massive explosion occurred, killing 5 firefighters instantly

and injuring 9 others, 3 of them critically.
