Position: EMT-Paramedic, EMT-Intermediate & EMT-Basic

Notes: Positions Open Until Filled

Overview: Aemstar EMS is currently seeking qualified state of Texas

certified EMT¡XParamedic, EMT-Intermediate and EMT-Basic candidates

for full-time and part-time employment. Aemstar EMS is one of the

largest private EMS providers operating a general transport

operation located in Stafford, Fort Bend County. Interested

Job Summary: Provides emergency medical care during transport of

emergent and non-emergent situations. Maintains proper records,

computes charge and maintains good working relationships with

hospitals, doctors and fellow employees. Takes care of equipment,

vehicles and the EMS station.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting Compensation:

o EMT-Paramedic $15.00

o EMT-Intermediate $11.00

o EMT-Basic $10.00

Essential Duties (including but not limited to):

ć Operates emergency vehicles

ć Assesses problems & alerts dispatcher if more help is needed

ć Implements basic & advanced life support according to

standing orders & state guidelines

ć Monitors patient during transport

ć Completes necessary forms, reports, etc.

ć Maintain unit and EMS station

ć Operates two-way radios and related equipment

Physical Demands (including but not limited to):

ć Assess accident and emergency scenes

ć Lift 150 pounds (250 pounds with assistance)

ć Operate EMS vehicles and equipment

ć Handle stretchers

ć Must be able to handle extreme stress in crisis situations

ć Bend and lift for extended periods

ć Perform CPR

Work Schedule:

ć 8, 12, and 24 hour shifts.

Qualifications:

ć Must be 23 years old at time of employment

ć High school diploma or GED

ć Must be certified or licensed by Texas Department of State

Health Services as a EMT-Paramedic, EMT-Intermediate or EMT-Basic at

time of employment offer and must possess all appropriate

certifications for current level.

ƒá Valid Texas driver¡¦s license with clean driving record

ć Skills in oral and written communication

ć Ability to operate EMS vehicles and equipment

ć Experience preferred but not required
