Aemstar EMS is one of the largest private EMS providers operating a general transport operation located in Stafford, Fort Bend County. Job Summary: Provides emergency medical care during transport of emergent and non-emergent situations. Maintains proper records, computes charge and maintains good working relationships with hospitals, doctors and fellow employees. Takes care of equipment, vehicles and the EMS station. Compensation and Benefits: Starting Compensation: o EMT-Paramedic $15.00 o EMT-Intermediate $11.00 o EMT-Basic $10.00 Essential Duties (including but not limited to): ƒá Operates emergency vehicles ƒá Assesses problems & alerts dispatcher if more help is needed ƒá Implements basic & advanced life support according to standing orders & state guidelines ƒá Monitors patient during transport ƒá Completes necessary forms, reports, etc. ƒá Maintain unit and EMS station ƒá Operates two-way radios and related equipment Physical Demands (including but not limited to): ƒá Assess accident and emergency scenes ƒá Lift 150 pounds (250 pounds with assistance) ƒá Operate EMS vehicles and equipment ƒá Handle stretchers ƒá Must be able to handle extreme stress in crisis situations ƒá Bend and lift for extended periods ƒá Perform CPR Work Schedule: ƒá 8, 12, and 24 hour shifts. Qualifications: ƒá Must be 23 years old at time of employment ƒá High school diploma or GED ƒá Must be certified or licensed by Texas Department of State Health Services as a EMT-Paramedic, EMT-Intermediate or EMT-Basic at time of employment offer and must possess all appropriate certifications for current level. ƒá Valid Texas driver¡¦s license with clean driving record ƒá Skills in oral and written communication ƒá Ability to operate EMS vehicles and equipment ƒá Experience preferred but not required Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
