Someone mentioned being tired of making oatmeal. I can relate, however I have

discovered that it can be really easy to make and for me it really helps me keep

my BG down.

I used to make " instant " oatmeal for my son by giving oats a spin in my

blender to make the flakes smaller and they were ready to go with just boiling

water added. I also would add raisins, etc. when he would eat it.

Recently I decided I really wanted to eat oatmeal but cooking it and washing

the pans was a trip I didn't want to deal with. I also didn't want to deal with

the blender, so one day I put my oats in a heat proof glass measuring cup (you

can use a bowl), boiled the water, poured it over the oats, put a saucer on top

to hold in the heat and within minutes I had ready to eat oats. I added a few

drops of soy milk and ate my oats straight out of my measuring cup. (No need to

wash extra dishes.)

I can now make oats in minutes while doing other things. You can add whatever

you wish to your oats...sweetener, butter...whatever your diet allows. This

" trick " works with quick oats or old fashioned oats but the quick oats are

creamier.

No hassle breakfast and minimal dishes to wash. I like " instant " food that is

actually good for you.

Cheers,

Ardee-ann
